Change of Ownership:

The main issue that some people can find confusing is how the change of ownership is certified by the relative Government Department. At Academy Car Sales we help you through the process by completing the Vehicle Registration Certificate. We send the form to the relative Government Department and you will receive the amended certificate in the post.

NCT:

A car bought with an existing NCT certificate is valid up to the date specified by the cert even though this test was not completed by you. When the time comes to apply for a new NCT test, you can do so by calling their office or visiting them online.

Motor Tax:

If your vehicle is registered prior to July 2008, your motor tax will be proportionate to the engine’s size so essentially the bigger the engine, the higher the cost. If your vehicle is registered after July 2008, your motor tax will be calculated in accordance with the CO2 based system.
